Costa Daurada

The entire Costa Daurada is blessed with a typically Mediterranean climate, with mild temperatures in winter and warm summers, and scant rainfall. Its orography means that it has a stable climate, ideal for outdoor activities all year round. Its temperatures range from a mean of 14°C in winter to 21-29°C in the summer months.

The name Costa Daurada comes from the tiny gold fragments, mineral in origin, that are mixed into the sand all along the coastline. Many of the Costa Daurada's beaches have received the blue flag award of the Foundation for Environmental Education, such as our Eldorado Beach in 2015. Towns such as Calafell, Salou or Cambrils have been certified by the Autonomous Government of Catalonia as family tourism destinations par excellence.
